Why ArthOny™

The intersection no one else occupies

There is no shortage of property books. There is no shortage of faith-based content. What is rare — arguably unique in the UK market — is someone who holds all three: deep biblical conviction, professional project management authority, and hands-on property investment experience built across two legal jurisdictions.

Arthur Ononye is that person. His work is for African-British professionals who are done with fragmented advice and want a unified strategy — one that honours who they are, where they came from, and where they are going.

Kingdom Economics

Biblical principles mapped to modern wealth-building. Purpose-driven prosperity, not performance anxiety.

Property as Vehicle

Buy-to-let, HoldCo structures, SSAS pensions — practical Scottish and English strategies.

PM Discipline

PMBOK® 7th Edition thinking applied to family finances and business governance.

Legacy Architecture

IHT planning, Business Property Relief, and multi-generational wealth transfer frameworks.

Arthur Ononye

Author. Strategist. Mentor.

Building the resource base that the African-British professional community deserves — and has always needed.

The Story Behind the Work

Arthur Ononye is the founder of ArthOny™ Media & Publications and Menuchah Property Group (SC877241), operating from Edinburgh, Scotland. His work sits at a rare intersection: biblical conviction, professional project management authority, and direct property investment experience across two legal jurisdictions.

Trained in PMBOK® 7th Edition principles and deeply embedded in the African-British professional community, Arthur saw a gap no one was filling. Property books ignored the diaspora experience. Faith content ignored financial mechanics. Project management frameworks ignored kingdom purpose. He wrote to close that gap.

His communication spans four domains — Sales, Marketing, Project Management, Business Analysis, Data Analysis, IT, Leadership Development, and Coaching — and his community work covers Social Enterprise, Sustainability, DEI, and Nutrition. He speaks, facilitates workshops, volunteers, and writes. Everything feeds the same mission: equipping African-British professionals to build wealth with purpose.

The Menuchah Glossary

Key terms across property law, business structure, and kingdom economics — defined clearly for the African-British investor.

B H I K L M S
B
Buy-to-Let (BTL)
A property purchased specifically to rent to tenants rather than occupy as a primary residence. In Scotland, subject to LBTT Additional Dwelling Supplement (ADS). Commonly held inside a limited company (HoldCo) for tax efficiency.
Business Property Relief (BPR)
A UK Inheritance Tax relief that can reduce the taxable value of qualifying business assets by up to 100%. Applicable to trading companies and certain partnership interests. Does not generally apply to property investment companies.
H
HoldCo (Holding Company)
A parent company that owns shares in one or more subsidiary companies rather than producing goods or services itself. Used in property to separate portfolio ownership from trading activities, enabling more efficient profit extraction and inheritance planning.
I
IHT (Inheritance Tax)
UK tax charged on estates valued above the nil-rate band threshold (currently £325,000, with additional residential nil-rate band). Charged at 40% on the excess. Mitigated through gifting strategies, trusts, Business Property Relief, and HoldCo structures.
K
Kingdom Economics
A framework applying biblical principles of stewardship, Sabbath, tithe, and generosity to personal and business finances. Emphasises purpose-driven prosperity, sustainability, and generational transfer over short-term wealth accumulation. Central to the Menuchah Wealth Series.
KDN (Kingdom Dossier Network)
The ArthOny™ membership community. A private network of African-British professionals and investors applying kingdom economics principles to property, business, and personal development. £47/month.
L
LBTT (Land and Buildings Transaction Tax)
Scotland's equivalent of England's Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT). Applied on property purchases above £145,000 (residential), with an Additional Dwelling Supplement (ADS) of 6% on second properties. Administered by Revenue Scotland.
Legacy Planning
The structured process of transferring accumulated wealth, property, and values to the next generation. Involves wills, trusts, IHT planning, BPR, company structuring, and — in the ArthOny™ framework — alignment with kingdom stewardship principles.
M
Menuchah (מְנוּחָה)
Hebrew word meaning rest, stillness, or a place of peace. The theological and philosophical foundation of the ArthOny™ brand — the idea that true prosperity is built from a place of rest and purpose, not anxiety and striving.
Missives
In Scottish property law, the formal exchange of letters between solicitors that constitutes a binding contract for the purchase of property. Equivalent to exchange of contracts in English law. Once missives are concluded, either party withdrawing may face financial penalties.
S
SSAS (Small Self-Administered Scheme)
An occupational pension scheme for company directors and senior employees, offering the ability to lend money back to the sponsoring employer and invest directly in commercial property. A powerful tool for business owners building tax-efficient property portfolios.
Stewardship
In the ArthOny™ framework, the biblical principle that wealth is held in trust rather than owned outright — and therefore must be managed wisely, grown purposefully, and transferred generously. The moral foundation of kingdom wealth-building.
